3 Days – 2 Nights Summer Itinerary

There’s no time like vacation time. Spend it well!

So, you only have three days with us. Let’s make this the “absolute things you need to do” itinerary.

DAY ONE: You simply have to ride the train. Take the Durango Silverton Narrow Gauge Train up to Silverton, but because you only have three days, ride it one way and take the bus back to Durango. Once back…hit the River for a raft or inflatable kayak trip. We’ll see you that evening for food and drink at The Strater and then you can saunter upstairs to sleep well and get ready for the next day.

DAY TWO: Wake up. Eat breakfast at The Mahogany Grille (unbelievable good), then rent a paddle board from one of our Whitewater shops (ask the front desk for help), pick it up and head to Haviland Lake (about 25 minutes north of town). Paddle around a bit and then change into jeans and boots and take a horseback ride to the caves with Rapp Corral (right there at Haviland Lake). You might be sore, so when you get back to town go to The Spaaah Shop for a massage! (book in advance – we can help you with that too). Dinner at the Diamond Belle Saloon and then night night.

DAY THREE: Hit the road to Mesa Verde – you can take a guided trip with our partners or go on your own. This is where the ancient ones once lived and it’s one of the most amazing places in the world. Be sure, when you are there, to just stop for a second and close your eyes and imagine what life was like over 1300 years ago. And then shut off your cell phone and enjoy the rest of the day with your family and friends! That’s a busy few days…but so much amazing fun.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
