Johnny Maddox

Johnny Maddox

The epitome of the Southern Gentleman, Johnny continues to inspire full blown fun every night that he is scheduled to play. After all, he's focused his life toward musical entertainment beginning at age 13. (He'd admit to at least 30 years experience). He brings to the Diamond Belle, the best of Nashville and Saloons across the country.

Now otherwise retired, Johnny plays in the Diamond Belle for only one reason... Because he wants to. We think that is the very best reason and we are proud to be the only venue Johnny chooses to play. We are certain you will choose to come back over and over to hear the King of Ragtime!

His first record, produced in May 1950, included "Crazy bone Rag" and "St. Louis Tickle". Within 5 weeks it sold over 22,000 copies.

In 1954 Johnny was voted #1 Jukebox Artist by Music Operators of America. Then in 1955 with the recording of "Crazy Otto Medley", he rose to #1 on the charts for 14 weeks. The record sold over 2 Million copies.

Today Johnny has sold over 11 million records in 50 albums and 87 singles.

Johnny has played with other musical greats such as, Patsy Cline, Eddie Arnold, W.C. Handy, Hoe Jordon, Charles L. Johnson, Clyde McCoy, Ted Lewis, Tony Pastor, Lawrence Welk, Sammy Kay and Eddy Howard.

Johnny knows over 3,000 musical pieces by heart. No wonder everyone has such a great time when Johnny's in town and playing at the Diamond Belle. He is looking forward to seeing you there!

Johnny Maddox will play in the Diamond Belle at about 5:30 pm on the following days:

Monday through Saturday
