**Live Music played by Jack Ellis at the Diamond Belle**
Jack is a singer songwriter, an interpreter, a one-time writing and literature teacher on the high school and college level for many years, and a guitarist since the age of about 12.
Jack grew up a salt water kid on a harbor just off the Long Island Sound, clamming, fishing, swimming, skiing…schooled in New York, Texas, Colorado, Rhode Island, and Wisconsin. He earned a BA and MA in literature, and has been performing around the four corners area since, well, since the last century.
There’s a lot of blues in his performances and a lot of history about various songwriters and songs. He appreciates and honors those who came before him.
He has played in the basement club of BB King’s in Nashville, Tennessee, and at a winery on the east end of Long Island, where he started out playing at coffee houses as a shy teenager.
over the years he has played in bands (1000 Feet, The Dutton Ditch Blues Band, High Altitude Blues) trios, duos, and presently in solo form.
