Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad
Ride the World-Famous Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad
Every year, thousands of people from around the world come to Durango, Colorado specifically to ride the world-famous Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad up through the beautiful and spectacular San Juan Mountains. This historic and vintage train has been in operation July of 1882, and continues to stun visitors with its splendor and ability to take them into parts of the mountains they would never be able to see otherwise. It’s a journey that you will never forget and many will envy you got to experience.
Change of Seasons
Keep in mind, just as the seasons change, so does the Durango Train schedule. During the warmer months guests may ride form Durango to Silverton one-way or round-trip. When it’s colder and there is snow, which we get plenty of, the Durango Train makes shorter trips but you won’t be disappointed. Also throughout the year, the Durango Train has many activities including The Great Pumpkin Patch Express. For the most current Durango Train schedule please visit the Durango Train website.
